1967 Shelby GT500 #2727 Candyapple Red with Black deluxe interior

This restored Shelby is Candyapple Red with Black Deluxe interior. While it was originally factory Lime Green, the current Candyapple Red is a great improvement to this car and makes it a more desirable color to most. It recently went through a complete engine and transmission rebuild with re-detailing of all of the under-hood components. At that time of the repair/restoration it was totally taken apart and there was no evidence of Lime Green paint anywhere which tells us the car was carefully disassembled and stripped at the beginning of the restoration process. The engine is date code correct of March 31, 1967, and has all of the 1967 Special GT 500 parts under the hood including the C7 heads, C72X aluminum, 2x4 intake sand cast valve covers, the air cleaner, the C5- dual point distributor and the BJ-BK dual carburetors. The top loader was rebuilt with big input and serial matching to the VIN on the car. It is listed in the Shelby Registry 4th Edition.
Some of the other options on this car include power steering, power disc brakes, tach and trip odometer, a factory roll bar and Shelby seat belts, Shelby 10 spokes, with BFG radials and original under-the-dash gauges.
