Description
This 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 is the definition of a well-kept survivor restored with precision. Factory-built as a four-speed close-ratio car with 3.91 Traction-Lok gears, it came finished in Medium Blue Metallic over a White Deluxe interior—a striking and rare combination. Ordered new with power steering, front disc brakes, rear spoiler, and Magnum 500 wheels, it carried the right balance of performance and comfort straight from Dearborn.
What makes this Boss especially unique is its remarkable completeness when we discovered it in 2007, followed by our meticulous restoration completed in 2009. Believed to be a Ford executive car originally, it retained every hard-to-find component, including the full smog system, rev limiter, correct carburetor, and distributor. Even the factory AM/FM stereo was present and carefully restored during the build, ensuring that the car remains both authentic and functional. Few Boss 302s surface with such originality intact.
The restoration preserved its matching-numbers 302-4V engine, four-speed transmission, and correctly dated rear end, keeping the drivetrain exactly as it left the factory. Subtle details like the spoiler-only configuration (no louvers) and its show-quality finish highlight just how rare this example is. With its dazzling Medium Blue paint set against the crisp white interior, this Boss 302 isn’t just another muscle car—it’s a true collector’s piece with pedigree, presence, and provenance.
