Description

This 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429, finished in striking Candy Apple Red with a black interior, is one of the most legendary muscle cars ever built. Equipped with a four-speed Top loader manual transmission, power steering, and power front disc brakes, it delivers a thrilling driving experience. With deluxe interior décor, a center console, and a functional front air spoiler, it blends raw power with subtle sophistication. Only a limited number of Boss 429s were produced, and each was modified by the famed Kar Kraft facility in Brighton, MI, making these cars a unique part of automotive history.

Built for speed, the Boss 429 was designed to dominate NASCAR. The heart of this beast is a 429 cubic inch V8 engine with a semi-hemispherical “crescent” combustion chamber, producing 375 horsepower and 450 ft-lbs of torque—though many believe it made far more. Early “S-code” engines, like the one featured in some of these builds, came with magnesium valve covers and NASCAR-style forged internals, prioritizing performance over emissions compliance. These cars are known to pack more punch than later “T” and “A” code variants, which were equipped with emissions controls to meet stricter government regulations.

Modifying the Boss 429 to fit the Mustang’s body was no small task. The engine was so large that Kar Kraft had to widen the shock towers, relocate the battery, and adjust the power brake booster. Completing the package is a 3.91:1 Traction-Lok differential, ensuring exceptional grip, while the signature hood scoop hints at the power lurking beneath. This Boss 429 isn’t just a car—it’s a rolling piece of NASCAR heritage, blending racing pedigree with muscle car attitude, destined to be a prized collector’s gem.
